Meet the Board

Wendy Stevens, President

Wendy Stevens has a personal goal that NH's farmers markets see 1% of their city or town's population visiting their market on a regular basis.  In some communities that would move all of the local foods to consumers, equaling sell-outs for local produce. "Right now we're growing more than what is consumed and I'd like to see the farmers market sales channel grow to the 1% and beyond."  A moment that will never grow old from her time managing markets is seeing the market brimming with customers knowing all that food is moving through your community - that's when you know what you are doing is worth it.

Wendy's background includes managing several NH farmers markets, managing farm incubators and teaching agricultural youth programs at The Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success, and she currently supports Food & Agriculture, Natural Resources and Community Development in her role at UNH Cooperative Extension.

A must make food in Wendy's home is homemade boursin cheese.  A vendor had created her own recipe years ago that included vermouth and fresh herbs and it was a weekly must!

He likes all styles of beers and ciders, but enjoys hoppy ales, and imperial stouts and porters.

Krysti Battistelli, Board Member

Having maintained gardens, networking for her co-owned autobody shop Mirror Image Automotive, and once managing 4 area's farmers’ markets a week for the Seacoast Growers Association, Krysti Battistelli enjoys the socializing that comes along with marketing. After moving from Goffstown to the seacoast, her passions remain for food taste, reducing waste and meeting new people.

Her intent is to see farmer’s markets and their managers have the resources and support they need. Krysti enjoys using local foods all year long, including cooking lots of winter rice dishes with dehydrated veggies from last season with fresh herbs.
